2023 FCP National Conference & AGM

SiMS is dedicated to creating and maintaining a safe and supportive social environment for 2 Spirit people. We believe that through community-building efforts, we can equip our community members with the tools they need to thrive within our society. Over the last year we have been working to build capacity within our organization so that we can better align ourselves with the vision and mission of 2SiMS. We created councils and committees, such as the Youth Council, Elder's Spiritual Advisory Council, and the Executive Directors' Committee, to guide our decision-making process. We also made it a priority to establish organizational partnerships that would allow us to create a stronger network of 2 Spirit peoples from coast to coast. Within the intersection of Indigenous and 2SLGBTQ+, there is a lot of marginalization and discrimination that can happen to folks. That's why it's essential for us to create strong communities where everyone can feel supported.
