My name is Quinn (she/they) and I'm the Indigenous Two-Spirit representative for Sudbury pride.
Many would describe myself as someone who can get a whole room laughing and doesn't shy away from speaking their truth. I've been told that the fire inside me has been lit by the strongest match and to continue on my path of not only sharing my knowledge, but educating myself as well. Outside of my role on Sudbury pride, I'm a traditional fancy dancer on the pow-wow trail, often found joking around with my elders or, more commonly, found in line for all my favourite traditional foods.
I love to talk about my hometown, share my style of dancing and even my traditional teachings while also learning from others, after all sharing Indigenous knowledge is key to decolonization!
